At JDA, we want to express our deepest support and solidarity with the individuals, families, businesses, and communities affected by the recent DANA that has impacted Valencia and surrounding areas. We are aware of the challenges and difficulties it has imposed on the daily lives of many people.
Our company reaffirms its commitment to our collaborators, clients, and communities, providing the necessary support to overcome this complex time together. We know that unity and empathy are essential to rebuilding and moving forward. At JDA, we are here for those who need help and will work actively to offer meaningful support.
Below, we present a summary of some of the measures adopted by regional and local authorities to address this critical situation.
Comunitat Valenciana
In the Comunitat Valenciana, Order 6/2024 has been approved in response to the emergency situation. Heavy rains and winds have caused unprecedented damage. This regulation, in effect until November 5, prioritizes the mobility of essential services on the transportation network and permits emergency interventions in critical infrastructure.
During this period, traffic on various routes will be limited exclusively to essential services, such as the distribution of water, food, and communications. Any vehicle movement outside of these circumstances must be properly justified.
Suspension of procedural deadlines in Valencia: Ordinary judicial activity is suspended in the judicial districts of Catarroja, Requena, and Torrent from November 4 to 10. Judicial notifications issued during these days will be considered received on November 11.
Free Notarial Assistance
The notarial colleges of Valencia and Castilla-La Mancha have made free notarial services available for affected citizens. This service provides access to essential documents and notarial certificates necessary for damage claims. Contact is available via the following email addresses:
Valencia: afectatsdana@valencia.notariado.org
Castilla-La Mancha: colegio@castilla-lamancha.notariado.org
Tax Matters
Finally, we remind you that the General Tax Law establishes that force majeure exempts from penalties in cases of missed deadlines. Therefore, tax payments that could not be made within the voluntary period due to the DANA will not be penalized.
You may contact JDA for any questions or clarification you may need in this regard.
With all our support,
JDA
